How The Ukraine War Could ‘End Tomorrow’ If The US Wanted: Jeffrey Sachs "We need brave leaders, honest media, and informed citizens. That’s how peace begins." - (DaImpossible Dream - CL)

 Fear Among US Presidents

Maybe our leaders are just afraid – afraid to make peace, afraid to defy the military-industrial complex. Since Kennedy, perhaps no president has truly been independent. Nixon tried and may have paid the price. Others may be afraid, misinformed, or simply bought.

The Madness of ‘Extending Russia’ Doctrine & Sachs Personally Warning Biden/Sullivan

The Ukraine war could have been avoided – by simply stating that NATO would not expand to Ukraine. Even Jake Sullivan privately told me it wouldn’t happen. But when I asked him to say it publicly to avoid war, he refused.

The war can be ended tomorrow if the US declares NATO will not expand to Ukraine. That’s all. It’s not about territory. Russia didn’t demand land – just neutrality. Even in Crimea, Russia sought a lease renewal, not annexation – until the U.S.-backed coup. This war is entirely provoked and entirely avoidable.......

....A Blueprint for Peace: Structural Reforms Needed

  1. End CIA covert operations. Intelligence is necessary – regime change is not.
  2. Depoliticize the intelligence agencies.
  3. Close overseas military bases. They waste resources and create enemies.
  4. Aggressively seek diplomacy. We need diplomats, not bombers.
  5. Educate the public. The American people must understand our real interests.

Sachs described, “First, it was already recognized by President Truman in 1963 publicly, soon after Kennedy’s assassination – and already known before that, that the biggest mistake we made in 1947 was to give the CIA two jobs: one, intelligence, which we need, and two, covert operations, which is absolutely deadly for our security and for world peace. We should end all CIA covert operations. Period.

A Final Plea

All of these conflicts – Ukraine, Gaza, potential war with China – can be resolved quickly, if we tell the truth, act with courage, and demand accountability. Our government must stop listening to the war profiteers and start listening to the people.

We need brave leaders, honest media, and informed citizens. That’s how peace begins.

An Interesting Historical Omission - ('Schoolboy' history is what most Americans know as history - CL)

 https://www.lewrockwell.com/2025/08/eric-peters/an-interesting-historical-omission/

Why not? Is it not history? The unredacted version?

The truth is almost always nuanced. It is rarely binary, though schoolboys are very much encouraged to believe that it is. The so-called Civil War is another example, beginning with the misleading use of that term to describe what was in unredacted fact the attempt made by a confederacy of Southern states to form their own nation by separating from a “union” they believed had become overbearing and tyrannical to their interests. In other words, the states of the Southern confederacy were very much motivated by the same desire as the American colonies and neither of them had any designs to take over the country. The South wanted to separate from the North, not rule over the North – just as the 13 colonies wanted to separate from the British Empire, not rule it.

A “civil war’s” defining element is two sides vying for control of a country. The British Civil War was a civil war. What occurred in America in 1861-1865 was nothing of the sort. Most schoolboys believe otherwise, though – because it is important that they believe it.

Napoleon famously said that history is a lie agreed upon. He was not wrong, but it’s more than just that. Lies are usually overt. The history imparted to schoolboys is subtler. Exaggerrations and omissions. Half-truths rather than the whole truth. To get the latter, it is necessary to suss it out for yourself. As you do, you will often find that what was imparted to you when you were a schoolboy was not the truth but a narrative. One written and imparted by the victors.

Rothbard on Billionaires - LewRockwell

 https://www.lewrockwell.com/2025/08/doug-french/rothbard-on-billionaires/

“Going back over 100 years of data, we have never seen wealth created at this size and speed,” said Andrew McAfee, principal researcher at MIT. “It’s unprecedented.”

But is it wealth really?

Back when a billion dollars was something, not just inflated stock prices and depreciated currency, Murray Rothbard told us in class “billionaires are kooks.” He had just visited Forrest Mars (at Mars’s invitation) and complained of having to listen to the billionaire’s crazy ideas.

In a piece about Ross Perot for the Rothbard–Rockwell Report (RRR), Murray wrote, “the billionaire becomes a candid and independent crank, often a crackpot, a monomaniac rattling off his cranky views to those who are paid to nod sagely at his greatness. And thus, the billionaire allows himself to get cut off from reality, and his yes-men feed into the problem. So now we get: the billionaire with ideas, with social views.”

What Murray describes may remind you of someone or various someones.

He continued,

Being masterful entrepreneurs, they are supremely confident in their own ability to tackle tough tasks and to conquer them. But like all tragic heroes, they suffer from the failings of their very virtues. Bright and independent, they tend to scorn advice, a particular problem when they apply their entrepreneurial expertise to new and unfamiliar fields. Worse, they tend to become arrogant and thin-skinned, and brush away all criticism as the flea bites of lesser men. And being billionaires, they suffer from the same problem as the Emperor Caligula or, often, the President of the United States.

According to Statista, there were 66 billionaires in the US in 1990. That number grew to 748 in 2023. Over the same period the value of the dollar fell 59%. To candidate Mamdani’s point, Ludwig von Mises wrote, “Inflation and credit expansion, the preferred methods of present day government openhandedness, do not add anything to the amount of resources available. They make some people more prosperous, but only to the extent that they make others poorer.”

The divide between rich and poor will grow to unprecedented levels And more candidates like Mamdani will appear with an unworkable solution that doesn’t address the real problem.

Previous History Indicates that War Is Our Future

Harry Elmer Barnes tells the story based on the notes the conspirators wrote to one another over the years the conspiracy was prepared and put into operation.

For telling the truth, Barnes, a top of the line American historian, lost his position at Columbia University.  The official narrative was that Germany caused the war, a claim for which there is zero evidence. But assigning historical blame to Germany kept attention off the French-Russian conspiracy. As Barnes own fate proved, it did not pay for a historian to tell the truth.  The road to professional success was to create a narrative that justified the winners. And the “winners” were actually winners because the Germans were deceived, having foolishly trusted US President Wilson’s “Fourteen points.”

The German emperor, a cousin of the British king and Russian Tsar, did everything he could to avoid war, and Germany was the last to mobilize.

The country responsible for war is never the last to mobilize.

Barnes, like David Irving, bases his history on official documents, whereas most historians create a career for themselves by justifying the winners and aligning with the rising political, social, and economic forces.....

....We are watching the same thing today, only we don’t know it.  The media don’t tell us. They too are bribed.

....As the realities of what is really underway are not exposed to the light of day, the populations in the US and Europe really have no idea what is going on.  Commentators, depending on who is paying them, either spread optimistic hopes or allege Trump is selling out Ukraine. The reality is different.

The most expensive trace element in the world – because it costs nothing

A medical and SOCIETAL Revolution

Lithium is a trace element that has been essential to the development of all life since time immemorial. Humans are no exception.

But unfortunately, a widespread deficiency exists that diminishes our quality of life. It leads to an increase in depression and Alzheimer’s disease, more admissions to psychiatric hospitals, more violent behavior, higher suicide rates, and ultimately even a shortened lifespan!

The fatal consequences of this deficiency are sold to us as unavoidable normality, while the responsible authorities simultaneously refuse to acknowledge the essential importance of this trace element. In a particularly perfidious twist, lithium-containing supplements are even banned in Europe – as well as in most other countries worldwide. The fact that many behavior disorders due to deficiency in children are commonly (and unsuccessfully) treated with side-effect-heavy but highly lucrative medications, suggests that financial interests may be behind this scandal. But is it just about profit? Or are we dealing with a perverse claim to power over the human mind? Who benefits from a society that grows increasingly ill – physically and mentally – and lives in constant fear of the future?

“The Conspiracy Against Lithium“

Michael Nehls’ newest book “The Conspiracy Against Lithium” offers urgently needed answers and serves as a medical plea for the long-overdue recognition of lithium’s essential role as a key to a healthier, more mentally stable, and peaceful society. After all, it offers powerful, natural protection against chronic inflammation, neurotoxic stress, and anxiety disorders. Ailments that have now reached pandemic proportions. Essential lithium could become the symbol of humanity’s breakthrough into a new era of medicine – one that meets the natural needs of the human being.

Globally, mental performance is declining, particularly among young people, while rates of depression are skyrocketing.

One in forty people now suffers from Alzheimer’s, and the age of onset is dropping rapidly.

But the causes are not being addressed – on the contrary. Can that really be coincidence?

So why isn’t lithium already part of our basic healthcare?

Short answer: Because it benefits no one looking to profit.

Long answer: Because lithium is not officially recognized as essential. Despite clear data, health authorities stubbornly refuse to grant lithium the status it deserves. Why? Because there’s no money in prevention. How much does one milligram of lithium cost? Almost nothing.

And that’s exactly the problem: Lithium is so cheap, it’s simply not profitable for pharmaceutical companies. No patents, no blockbuster drugs, no thousand-franc-a-month therapies. Just a few cents a day.

Anyone wondering why, in a system that calls itself a healthcare system, healthy people are economically undesirable – has understood the system.

A Long-Overdue War on Women - by Vox Day - Sigma Game

China, North Korea, and Russia are all taking serious measures to encourage marriage and children, and to reduce divorce. While the USA is lagging behind its two most-significant global rivals in this regard, one US state is laying the foundation for reversing what has been, until now, a relentlessly dyscivilizational pendulum disincentivizing marriage and children.

Tennessee made “parentage fraud” a crime in 2023. In 2024, lawmakers added mandatory restitution and gave victims a civil cause of action to recover additional money they had paid due to the lie. These reforms are live now.

Aside from the opening of the borders and the acceptance of so-called “dual citizenship”, the most dyscivilizational and societally destructive social policy of the last 75 years has been the refusal of the justice system to hold women accountable for their criminal actions. It’s not merely a question of justice, it’s now a question of societal survival to eliminate no-fault divorce and female unaccountability; punishment for “parentage fraud” is a positive step forward, but even better would be automatic paternity testing to replace the outdated and increasingly irrelevant assumption that the husband is the father.

After all, how is the assumption that the husband is the father even relevant in a society where 40 percent of children have been born to unwed mothers since 2008?

Percentage of children born to unwed mothers: 1980-2023

I think we can safely assume that other states in the USA are going to follow Tennessee’s example, as the assumption that women can be trusted to be a) faithful to their husbands and b) honest about who the father of their children is has proven to be mostly false.

While there is a problem with the carve-out about relieving the woman of responsibility for lying about the father simply because she’s married to the man who isn’t the father, the fact is that the woman can’t be assumed to have committed the crime of parentage fraud if she didn’t actually know who the father was. This carve-out shouldn’t be a problem, so long as the husband is not held legally responsible for any children of his wife that are not his.

A mother and a father hold hands with two children. One of the two children looks like both the parents. The other only looks like the mother. Slight impressionist style.
Fortunate is the man whose children look like him.

That being said, it must be remembered that the oft-cited number of one-third of all paternity testings showing that the man presumed to be the father was not, in fact, the father, is selection bias since most children are not paternity-tested. A much more credible estimate, based large-scale screening for genetic disorders, is 2.4 percent.

Short-Term Leaders - Vox Popoli - (Kill Your Business 101 - CL)

Tell Me How This Ends observes a curious phenomenon among the so-called leaders of Clown World. The executive chair never even gets warm before they’re off again to “lead” yet another organization into disaster.

Something I’m seeing over and over again in the bios of “leaders,” especially of the girlboss-in-obnoxious-glasses variety, and read the “previously served” paragraph closely:

https://voxday.net/2025/08/22/short-term-leaders/

This is the pirate class. These are Clown World’s mercenaries that it uses to keep the corpocracy and other organizations in line, moving from job to job and instituting insane policies that can’t possibly work and making radical changes to brands that will only serve to reduce their value.

These are not successful people, to the contrary, they are every bit as manufactured and propped up as their counterparts in the media. When you talk to executives of this sort, it’s less their lack of intelligence that strikes you as their level of ignorance concerning things you’d assume they have to know just to even do their job. It wouldn’t even be remotely surprising if Ms Masino not only didn’t know how to write a business plan, but couldn’t even read a balance sheet.

And these are the people who will always get the job over the qualified candidate who has worked his way up from inside the company or the police force. Because it’s not about competence or organizational success anymore, it’s about having a proven willingness to follow even the most ridiculous and obviously destructive orders.

The Chair Never Even Gets Warm - by Chris Bray

 Explain this, because I can’t.

Ukraine Must Surrender - Vox Popoli - (1,700,000 KILLED OR MIA - CL)

We knew it was bad, we knew it was very bad, but we didn’t know it was this bad. The true wickedness and inhumanity of the UK and the European Union can be seen in their determination to force the Ukrainian Armed Forces to continue resisting the Russian victory that was already known to be inevitable back in February 2022.

Ukraine has lost 1.7 million servicemen during the special military operation, these are killed and missing in action. The information comes from the database of the Ukrainian General Staff, which was hacked by killnet.

https://voxday.net/2025/08/21/ukraine-must-surrender/

If the war isn’t ended by an unconditional surrender that provides Russia with whatever it wants, the total KIA and MIA in 2025 alone will approach one million. This has been one of the bloodiest wars in European history; the infamous 30 Years War that is cited as one of the great evils of religion only accounted for 450,000 combat deaths in 30 years.

To put this into historical perspective, by the end of the year, Ukraine will have lost as many men as Japan did in WWII. It has already lost FOUR TIMES more men than the USA lost in WWII.

It is absolutely unconscionable for President Trump to permit even one more dollar to go toward such a lost, lethal, and pointless cause. And now that the degree of losses are known, I can’t imagine that the Ukrainian people are going to suffer the Kiev regime much longer.

The reported figures far exceed official estimates. In February, Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky told CBS News that 46,000 of his soldiers had been killed since 2022, alongside about 380,000 wounded – numbers questioned in Western media. Moscow has also claimed higher Ukrainian losses, putting the toll at more than 1 million killed or wounded as of early this year.

UPDATE: By contrast, total Russian losses are independently estimated to be around 165,000. This should suffice to explain why Russia has been content to take as much time as it takes to execute the Special Military Operation, as the 10-1 kill-ratio is astonishing, particularly considering that Russia has been on the offensive without much of a numerical advantage until recently.

If these numbers prove to be more or less correct, then the SMO has essentially been the Battle of Cannea writ large and is one of the greatest strategic accomplishments in military history.
