On May 15, 1947, playwright and screenwriter, and American League for a Free Palestine co-chairman Ben Hecht published in the New York Post “Letter to the Terrorists of Palestine”. The ad said, “We are out to raise millions for you.” This letter included the infamous phrase that every time British soldiers were shot or blown up “the Jews of America make a little holiday in their hearts.”
