Whether its negative for human health is immaterial.
Now if you choose to damage your health and have to pay for it then that's a choice and that's fine. Except that's not what happened here. If you don't drink HFCS-sweetened beverages or want them in your foods you're forced to first pay for it and then you're forced again to pay someone else's medical bills first by the subsidies which come from you and then again by the health insurers, physicians and drug companies who forced you to pay a pooled risk for something you didn't have an involvement in and in fact were opposed to (have you ever met someone who wants to be sick?)
Meanwhile, the Corn Refiners Association (CRA), argued that there would be severe economic implications if the industry eliminated high-fructose corn syrup, which the group says has been "a foundational ingredient in the U.S. food supply for nearly half a century."
And has been a foundational cause of the explosive, 500% increase in terms of GDP, rise in health care spending all of which is shoved up your ass so this "association's members" can feast on your disease and death along with the medical industry that likewise does the same and then claims "oh we didn't have anything to do with it -- you're bad because you eat too much."
Uh huh.
The corn refining demand loss from HFCS, glucose, dextrose and starch could result in short-term losses of $13.9 billion, with losses eventually reaching between $5.2 billion and $7.5 billion annually, according to the group, which highlighted that this would hurt local economies, "especially in regions anchored by corn refineries, where farmers stand to lose $0.25 to $0.50 per bushel in price premiums alone."
Of course I'll bet those regions and states will see a decrease in health care spending that is a multiple of that number.
They'll call that bad too because heh, its all GDP even if it comes at the cost of intentional human misery, disease and death.
