Statistically speaking, Christians constitute
anywhere from being the single
largest majority or at least the largest plurality of any other definable group
in America. We live in a country which has a democratic form of a republic
as designed by our founders and as detailed in the US Constitution.
So – why are we being governed by a coalition of tiny – and
infinitesimally so - minority interests which now require the majority
(Christians) to not only tolerate, but to submit to involuntarily under threat
of government force? In other words, our government FORCES Christians to
abandon the practice of our faith and beliefs as originally guaranteed by the
US Constitution!
How
did we get to this place? And if you are a Christian, are you prepared to face
the truth?
It
is not pretty! I suggest you start here.
It will be a long and arduous journey!
Here are
some places I visited in my initial research – you can do much more:
Theologically
we know that the pastor’s Prime Mandate (along with four other types of church
leaders) is to equip the saints to do the work of ministry (Ephesians 4:11-12).
But our structures are set up
to give them the expectation that the pastor will do the work of ministry for them.
By 2020, it is estimated that there
will be 2.55 billion Christians, representing 33% of the world’s population.
This is according to a report by the Center for the Study of Global
Christianity. The largest
Christian populations will be found in the United States (263 million),
Brazil (190), China (148), Mexico (120), Russia (118), Philippines (100),
Nigeria (96), DR Congo (81), India (67), and Ethiopia (61). The map above shows
Christian population (millions) by country as represented by proportional
circles. Countries with less than 1 million Christians are marked with a gray
dot. Of particular interest is the growth of Christianity in the largest
country of the world by population: China. The percentage of the population
adhering to Christianity has risen “from 0.1% in 1970 to 7.9% in 2010 and 10.6%
in 2020.” China’s estimated Christian population of 148 million in 2020 would
make it the third-largest in the world.
What
Is Church Attendance Like During Christmastime? New Data From LifeWay Research
Most
Americans attend church during the Christmas season, and many would come if
invited.
Folks,
is it time for Christians to get REAL? Are we Gummy Christians – looking for
comfort and DaEasy Life – with Jesus as our Divine Butler? Who has bewitched us?
I
marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of
Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which
is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the
gospel of Christ. 8 But
though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that
which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As
we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you
than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
10 For do I now persuade men, or
God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the
servant of Christ. – Galatians
