The WEF has said the Me that is you, will own nothing and be happy, and the superrich oligarchs will own everything. I believe them when they say this. Do you? Is your self-interest really served, in the long run, by silence?
Ispent more than 30 years in the belly of the beast known as the United States of America’s federal government. First, in the 1960s and 70s, I spent nearly nine years as an active duty officer in the U.S. Army. Then from the mid-1980s to 2010, I was a civil servant with the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) under four Presidents. One of my goals when I joined civil service was not to turn into a bureaucrat drone. Until recently, I thought I had achieved that goal. Upon reflection 12 years after they started paying me not to come to work, and seeing what the federal government looks like today, I realize that I failed to achieve that goal. I, in fact, did get caught up in the process and contributed to the growth of government, and now in 2023, it shames me.
Understanding Bureaucracies
To understand government or private enterprise bureaucracies you must first understand human nature. From biblical times to modern day, the strongest motivation for all human beings is self-interest. There is nothing else that even comes close. That is the way God built us as a result of the interaction between the evil serpent and Eve. That’s just the way it is. To some extent self-interest spreads to a human being’s loved ones. Good works or any other motivation still comes back to an individual’s basic self-interest. If it doesn’t serve him/her directly, it makes him/her look good in the eyes of others, but still self-interest.
What is the primary purpose of any bureaucracy? It is to perpetuate itself. No matter what the stated mission, all bureaucracies must first survive and to survive it must grow. That is the culture that every individual bureaucrat in any bureaucracy lives and works. Individual success in any bureaucracy means that bureaucrat must move up for a bigger pay check and/or more recognition. More pay or recognition is in the bureaucrat’s self-interest.
My First Hand Observation
I served with two different units while I was with DOI. The first was a very technically focused unit that was truly a lean, mean, and very efficient organization. 100% of the work that needed to be done was accomplished out of one office with 29 people. There was one chief, two section leaders, three administrative support staff, three trainers, and 20 technical specialists under them. At the time I joined the organization, it was about 15 years old. When I left the organization after 10 years, the amount of work to be accomplished was exactly the same. However, there were now four offices, one chief, four section leaders, seven administrative support staff, three trainers, and 30 technical specialists under them for a total of 45 people. On top of that civil service grade creep inflated the payroll more than 100%, as was the cost of office space. Double the cost, and half of the efficiency. What a deal for the taxpayer.
The U.S. Federal Government is Bloated
That, ladies and gentlemen, is a demonstration of how the federal government becomes bloated. My retrospective shame comes because I was a beneficiary of the pay grade creep and the unneeded expansion. Because of the unnecessary expansion, as I was leaving the unit, management established a new policy to have every employee account for their work time in 15 minute increments, except for the time they spent documenting their time. That time had to be charged to other activities. Oh my!
The United States of America’s federal government is bloated by at least 50%. If federal civil service employee rolls were reduced by 50%, the bureaucracy would work far better than it does today. That is because there would be no need for the “make work” that usually only results in more rules and regulations that were never needed in the first place. If the government was restricted to only those powers enumerated in the United States Constitution, the size of civil government could be reduced by 75%. That’s how truly bad it is.
Self-interest is the root cause of the out of control Administrative Branch of the United States government. There are too many people with not enough to do. “Idol hands are the devil’s workshop.” (Proverbs 16:27) And that is how we have gotten to where we are in America.
Collapse of the Republic
If the Republic collapses, it will be due to self-interest of the bureaucrats. The evil Deep State bureaucrats are the tail wagging the White House dog. The White House no longer controls their administrative bureaucrats. Dark evil Deep State bureaucrats are now in control of the ship of state. We first saw it when Donald Trump was President, and we are seeing it in spades now that brain dead Joe Biden is President. Who will stop the people who are supposed to keep this stuff from happening?

How do you think your descendants will fare after the super-rich oligarchs of the WEF re-establish their slavery plan?
Having said all that, the blame has to be shared by We the People. We the People must share the blame and the shame of, time after time, electing crooks to be our political “leaders.” We the People, who year after year, in self-interest, refuse to face the reality that our leaders were failing us. We the People, in self-interest, have refused to risk speaking out about our crappy governments from the smallest city to the White House. We the People, in our own self-interest, have remained a silent majority, much to the peril of the Republic known as the United States of America. We the People, in our own self-interest, have remained a silent majority, much to the peril of the life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness of our grandchildren and our great grandchildren.
Is the self-interest of We the People more important than serving the best interest of the United States of America and the rest of the free world? Is Me, rather than We, the way God designed the world? How do you think the Me (that is you) will fare after the super-rich oligarchs of the World Economic Forum (WEF) re-establish slavery? They have admitted to planning that for most of the world’s population? How do you think your descendants will fare after the super-rich oligarchs of the WEF re-establish their slavery plan? The WEF has said the Me that is you, will own nothing and be happy, and the superrich oligarchs will own everything. I believe them when they say this. Do you? Is your self-interest really served, in the long run, by silence?
