This
is Donald Trump on the latest horror killing in Israel. Read it, and you
realize it's not the Trump you thought you knew.
I condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the outrageous
terrorist shootings that took the lives of at least four innocent civilians and
wounded at least twenty others in Tel Aviv yesterday.
The Israeli security forces' investigation is ongoing, but some
facts have already emerged — and they are grim.
Just as fast as the condolences arrive from the civilized world
is the praise arising out of the uncivilized one. Hamas praised the attack,
calling the attackers "heroes."
Reports out of Hebron indicate that residents of the terrorists'
hometown lit up the night sky with celebratory fireworks. One Palestinian
"news organization" even referred to the shootings, in which the
assailants dressed up as observant Jews, as a "Ramadan treat." The
leader of Hamas called the injured terrorist a "hero."
How despicable!
The American people stand strong with the people of Israel, who
have suffered far too long from terrorism.
Israel's security is a matter of paramount importance to me and
the American people.
We understand all too well the unspeakable horror that terrorism
unleashes. To address it — and address it we must! — we must recognize the
parallel horror of the culture of religious hatred that permeates many
Palestinian quarters. From schools that indoctrinate toddlers to grow up to
kill Israelis to the daily menu of hate that spews forth from various
"news organizations," change is long overdue in the Palestinian
territories.
Let us begin the arduous task of creating a future where peace
can take root and terror finds no refuge.
I express my deepest condolences to the families of the four
Israelis who were murdered, as well as my wishes for a speedy recovery to the
wounded.
Donald J. Trump
So you
think Trump can't string two sentences together? You must've been listening
to enemy propaganda again. It's a lie, and the above proves it.
Donald
Trump shoots with two barrels. One barrel draws the media to him, like
flies eating horse droppings. That's the outrageous Trump, and the
newsies can't avoid feeding off the rich horse dessert prepared by Trump every
day.
Every
media face in the world is hypnotically attracted to Trump committing
spectacular political suicide. They hope. But they are
deluded.
Trump's
second barrel has been barking more often, as Trump makes his expected pivot to
acting and speaking presidentially.
I condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the outrageous
terrorist shootings that took the lives of at least four innocent civilians and
wounded at least twenty others in Tel Aviv yesterday.
Does
that sound like a cussing fool? No. Does it sound like Barry
Soetoro X Obama? No.
It
sounds like a morally serious American candidate for president.
Trump's
second shotgun barrel is beginning to bark. The media can't hear it,
because they are paying attention only to the first barrel. But the
second barrel has been banging away, first infrequently, then more often.
Trump's
supporters know about that second barrel. That's why they like
Trump.
The
media can't understand the real Trump narrative now emerging. They don't
speak the language. Paul Ryan is deaf to it. Mitt Romney is
confused. Susan Collins says she is "appalled." Poor
Susan has been gobbling up the Party Line Media for years, and she constantly
confuses the media with the truth.
But
U.S. vets, military people, cops, and conservatives who read history – they
have been hearing those second-barrel barks all along.
Trump's
supporters now hear the second barrel sounding louder and louder. Trump
spent four years in a rigorous military school, ending up as head of cadets.
He learned the Cadet Code, and he saw the U.S. military at work during
the Cold War.
At
that time, even Democrats understood and supported our anti-Soviet strategy,
both civilian and military parts.
Trump
doesn't care much about political parties, but most of his life was spent on
the right side of the Cold War. Our side, that is. It was a
formative experience, as we can now see. Cadet Trump is a morally serious
person. The Israel statement shows it, and it applies to America's
enemies, who also happen to be Israel's.
The two-barreled strategy is straight
George Patton: hold 'em by the nose, and kick 'em in the rear. Patton
beat the fiercest German panzer battalions with that strategy in North Africa
and Crete, then in France and Germany.
In tank battles, your advance units
engage the enemy in what looks like the main attack, so the opposing side pours
its resources in responding to your "attack." Then your
"main attack" breaks away while your counter-attack hits the enemy in
all his weak spots.
This is fast mobile warfare at all
levels, from the smallest to the largest units, and you're constantly hitting
and breaking off, hitting and breaking off, suckering the enemy to think you're
attacking from one direction while you send your main force to hit them very
hard where they don't expect it. Our Sherman tanks were smaller and
lighter than the main Nazi battle tanks, but we had twice as many of them, and
they could swarm and surround the huge panzers from many points of the compass.
Keep moving, always hit where they don't expect it, always take the
initiative tactically and strategically, strike and break off, strike and
break. Wear them down.
It's Patton's "hold 'em by the
nose, and kick 'em in the rear." It's Muhammad Ali's
"float like a butterfly, sting like a bee." Trump knows this
stuff.
The
only question is how to transfer it to election P.R. That's Trump's
discovery. Get into the enemy's decision cycle. But Trump is his
own decision cycle. Hillary is dragged down by her huge logistics train.
Obama has to consult his failed novelist scriptwriter before saying
anything. By the time he talks, all the spontaneity is gone.
In
the coming weeks, we'll hear the morally serious Trump more and more.
Terrorism is the mass murder of innocents and has been seen as such since
Clausewitz and before. The academic left, in its bottomless ignorance,
can't tell the difference between regular, self-disciplined armies and mobs of
rapist murderers. Leftists think it's all the same. Churchill said
they can't tell the difference between the fire and the fire brigade.
They honestly can't, and that ignorance will defeat them in the coming
election. Obama is already sniffing at the bait. But Trump is not
going to waste his ammo on last year's target.
Notice
that Trump has been looking more serious also, as war commanders must.
They can't afford to look like fools, because their first job is to earn
the trust of their troops. That red trucker's hat has a marked
resemblance to Patton's helmet: straight over the eyes to block the sun, like a
pair of stern eyebrows. Obama probably wears his golfing cap backward.
The
media is fighting the last war, which, for them, is Vietnam. Their enemy
is LBJ and Nixon. But Trump is running rings around them.
We'll
see surprises, because the enemy has to be kept reeling. Trump may change
his bag of tricks now and then. But this is the ball season as I see
it.
