The thing is, the world is what it is. Society has progressed, or devolved, to whatever it happens to be now. It’s not ideal. It’s definitely not what we expected. It’s not as good as the 50s, the 80s, or even the 90s. But it is what it is.
So what are you going to do about it? You can whine and cry about it, you can retreat silently into a psychologically defensive shell, or you can adjust your assumptions and expectations, rearrange your objectives and strategies, and pursue excellence to the full extent of your abilities.
I highly recommend the latter. But regardless, the decision is entirely up to you.

Men are terrified of rejection. Get over it, take your shots, and, if experience indicates it’s necessary, lower your sights and standards.
Women are oppressed by their mental load. Stop trying to control everything, stop pretending everything is your responsibility and that anyone truly cares what you do, say, think, or look like, and take accountability for what is actually your responsibility.
Life is seldom quite as hard as people try to make it for themselves.
