What’s with
the hate on Christmas?
A cuddly
baby, giving and receiving gifts, parties and merriment all around – what’s to
hate?
Yet, and for
decades now, there has been a systematic removal of nativity scenes – even from
private property – greetings transformed to general holiday wishes – etc. etc.
etc.
As usual, I
ask: WHO BENEFITS? And who EXACTLY is behind it?
DaRight
blames DaLeft – politically! But what does Christmas have to do with politics?
Prepare for
surprises – ALL AROUND! (Yep – I was surprised as well!)
So let’s get
started. Isaiah – around 740 BC wrote: “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the
government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his
government and peace there will be no end.
He will reign on David’s
throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and
righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will
accomplish this.” -
Isaiah 9:6-7
Does that
describe a cuddly baby? Government? Mighty God? Kingdom? Justice? Wha’dat?
That sounds
like politics!
Question:
Who is Jesus – in our minds?
C.S. Lewis wrote:
…….You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of
God: or else a madman or something worse…. You can shut Him up for a fool, you
can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call
Him Lord and God. But let us not come up with any patronising nonsense about
His being a great human teacher. He has
not left that open to us. He did not intend to.”
Question to
every Christian (including myself): Why do we proclaim Him to be the Son of God,
but act as if He was a lunatic?
Is He
DaCuddlyComforter that we have transformed into our Divine Butler? Or is He
Lord – of the whole universe? (Matt.
28:18-20) – Choose!
While you
and I enjoy the festivities around the Birth of Christ not as a political event
– “I can assure you that Herod the Great thought of it that
way as well as Rome.” - The Birth of Jesus Was the Greatest Political Event in History • by Gary DeMar •The American Vision
Let’s dig a little further - What
Christmas Means for the State - By Derek Dobalian – “Well, we know how the State reacted to the birth. The State,
represented by Herod, attempted to kill the Baby upon hearing news of the new
King. And eventually, the Roman State did kill Jesus because of the great
threat He represented. The reason the State reacted in these dramatic and
terrible ways is because Christ’s birth communicates a radical message: that
Jesus Christ, not Caesar, is Lord and the King.”
And digging deeper still – Read
The Gospels To Discover The Jesus Nobody Likes To Talk About - By Glenn T.
Stanton – and read Paul’s writings to discover the source of most of
the opposition to Jesus and Christianity – since 2000 years ago! (No – it did
NOT start with Obama – just thought I would throw that in for the late comers! :)
OK – that was then – this is NOW: And
yes, Christianity remains in their crosshairs
Now – let
me get into something that blew my mind when I first read it about a year ago –
The rapid rise of the super-wealthy “1%” that now
accumulate almost all of the growth in the wealth of the country is an
unprecedented development.
What does all this have to do with the crucifixion of a man
named Jesus twenty centuries ago? The
answer to that question is “everything.” - total

Forgive
us our debts – What? How did we get here?
After reading
these, the subject category I named FEDONOMICS in
DaLimbrawLibrary became much clearer to me – HISTORICALLY!
Furthermore,
it reinforced what Gary North wrote about his book – Millennialism
and Social Theory – “Secular economists and social theorists won’t read it
because it was written by a Bible believer, therefore not credible – Christians
won’t read it because they’re not interested in social theory.” (I usually add
that for most churchgoers it’s about pietism and being nice!)
Also - The
Alliance Made in Hell – which I
wrote over 4 years ago, explains another major factor in the Christian
conundrum.
North’s
book, which I have read and still refer to, exposes our blindness and willful
obstinacy – all to our individual and collective detriment. The answers to our
societal travails are outlined by our Creator – is anybody listening –
including those who claim to be His followers?
So – why the
war on Christmas? It’s a war on Jesus Christ – a war they’ve already LOST – at the
CROSS!
But
DaDisciples of Old Devil Scratch labor on – mindlessly!
Jesus said: "The
harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest,
therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
From the
lyrics of Amazing Grace:
I once was lost, but
now am found,
Was blind, but now I
see.
Yes, as Paul said: We see – darkly!
But it sure beats being mindlessly blind!
As always – if you stumbled here accidentally – start here! And return when ready for
more!
Git’er’done – NOW! No more excuses!
