Note to Mentors – Nov. 16, 2018 – Why the focus on World War I in recent posts? – CL

I will be the first to admit that in the past my view of WW I was just a war in the many wars of mankind. And just like most other facts, what I knew – wasn’t so! How so?

Although the seeds were planted before, WW I literally launched the Progressive era – and we are living in it NOW. Every institution is now run and controlled by and large by progressives. What does that tell you about the ability of Conservatives and/or the church to defend our traditions? But that is a subject for another day. Understanding the cultural forces in play 100 years ago enables us to deal with and restore sanity to our culture – which, if anyone has noticed – has been lost.

Human nature has not changed, but trying to convince progressives of that fact is a fool’s errand. Furthermore, as the Apostle Paul wrote to the Ephesians – “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” – do we assume that message is only about our personal issues? Why?

It is becoming increasingly evident that we have some serious and evil spiritual problems in our leadership – government, religion, politics and culture. If you cannot see that, are you part of the problem?

With that introduction, here is what we posted:

The Stupidest, Most Tragic War – by Eric S. Margolis

Written in History: The Death of America’s Hyper-Power Fantasy - By Martin Sieff  (Is anyone listening in America?)

United We Fall, Divided We Stand  by Robert Gore – Income tax, Federal Reserve, etc. etc. - The end of empire

The Morning of November 11, 1918 | by T. Hunt Tooley – When German and Allied soldiers hugged each other on Armistice Day, what does that tell you?

And today’s magnum opus by Murray Rothbard - World War I as Fulfillment

And if that is not enough – I word searched Progressives Progressivism in this archive - https://crushlimbraw.blogspot.com/search?q=progressive+progressivism – a motherlode of knowledge!

Let’s understand – our society and culture will not improve through our politics. Our politics are the result of our culture – which is the result of what? As a mentor, our need to understand that process is vital to Western Civilization – NOW!

You can begin here – www.crushlimbraw.com – if you haven’t been there recently.

Good mentoring!
