I had a nerdy uncle who worked for a big machine parts outfit. He was the inventory guy and developed such a complicated system that no one else could figure out. He kept the job for over 30 years because he couldn’t be replaced. He read every hardback NY Times bestseller and micromanaged my poor aunt. He spent his last years wandering the streets in a multicolor clown coat picking through trash piles. He was well off, an embarrassment to family and a laughable fixture of the neighborhood for many years.
Moral of this story; The overcomplicators among us have a problem,.. and they make it our problem; so KISS, Keep It Simple Stupid!
