Avoid Sectarian Battles - by bionic mosquito

I like this passage in Mark because it speaks to sectarian battles. Jesus is saying that if you see someone doing a good work in His name (in this case, giving a cup of water), do not forbid him. He even speaks of assurance regarding that person receiving his reward!

We can each feel strongly about where we attend church – the denomination or tradition in which we worship. Yet, we all know that there are countless people in other denominations and traditions who give a cup of water in Jesus’s name. In such a case, leave the reward to Christ – none of us have a place in judging such a person just because they go to the “wrong” church. Nor should we carry some pride that we attend the “right” church.

War Pigs and Prophecy - by Rev. Matthew Littlefield - (And remember every Sunday is SUPPORT OUR TROOPS Sunday in church! - CL)

This song is a prophetic message about the coming judgement of God on warmongers, the “war pigs”. The original name of the song was different, Walpurgis, and referred to a witchcraft/pagan festival from ancient Europe. In other words, the song was always designed to liken the evil warmongers to witches casting their evil spells.

Which is kind of obvious if you actually read the lyrics:

“Generals gathered in their masses

Just like witches at black masses

Evil minds that plot destruction

Sorcerers of death’s construction

In the fields the bodies burning

As the war machine keeps turning

Death and hatred to mankind

Poisoning their brainwashed minds

Oh Lord, yeah.”

Have you noticed how irrational warmongers act sometimes, and the way they attack those who condemn forever wars? Whether those warmongers are among the powerful, or just ordinary people that you know? Have you noticed that they get this weird longing for war here or there, and a place that just a few days ago they never gave thought to, is place they now believe we should send tanks, planes and infantry? I have seen this a lot, especially in the last few years. There is something spiritual going on behind that. It is kind of crazy that Ozzy knew this better than most Christians. Though he did claim to be a Christian and to pray before his concerts (I have no idea how genuine this was).

https://revmatthewlittlefield.substack.com/p/war-pigs-and-prophecy?utm_source=post-email-title&publication_id=1182452&post_id=178749708&utm_campaign=email-post-title&isFreemail=true&r=y7h5a&triedRedirect=true&utm_medium=email

Incredible how prophetic this song is. Praise God that eventually the warmongers lose. Yes, of course, there is such thing as a just war, which I know someone will want to respond, I do know that. I was in the army reserves myself, though I never saw action. I am not a pacifist, I know that nations must at times defend themselves. But how rare are just wars? Rare, very, very, very rare. And likely some of those we even consider to be just, are simply a product of the war sorcerers behind the scenes casting their spells to get the war machine rolling.

The City Is Not London—How Babylon's Temple Banks Built the Financial System

"Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors." — Matthew 6:12

When we look into antiquity, we tend to see primitive people. But ancient Babylon (c. 2000–539 BCE) and our world today are not that far apart.

Israel Did 9/11 - by π™‚π™Šπ™Šπ˜Ώ π˜Ύπ™„π™π™„π™•π™€π™‰ - When will the U.S. invade Israel?

Nearly half of the $40 trillion in national debt has gone to wars of choice for Israel, and paying interest on the debt created for those wars, plus managing programs for illegals invited into the country by the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society.  The United States is not “occupied.” It was conquered at least 113 years ago.

I know, I know. That subtitle is like asking ‘when will bears stop shitting in the woods?’ But sometimes bears shit in meadows, or on mesas, or on people’s lawns. Hell, I wasn’t even going to write this piece, but it was hard to hide my disgust at reading so many lies about 9/11 this past week from Kosher Con Inc rags like Ziohedge to the corporate septic distillers pumping Israeli stillage, so I felt compelled to purge that disgust here.

Here’s the score, Good Citizens: Generation Z isn’t playing these kosher atrocity propaganda and fantasy history games that normies have played for seventy years. Change is coming fast, and the parasite is panicking because it must secure new hosts before that change arrives.

https://thegoodcitizen.live/p/israel-did-911?utm_source=post-email-title&publication_id=510806&post_id=213042150&utm_campaign=email-post-title&isFreemail=true&r=y7h5a&triedRedirect=true&utm_medium=email

It’s been 25 years since Israel committed an act of terror on U.S. soil against what would quickly become its full-time host proxy empire, West Israel. I no longer distinguish between the two nations. Once you see how the parasite controls the host from within, there is no point in making any effort to distinguish the host from the parasite. And so, to assume the CIA and Mossad aren’t the same is to ignore the timeline of events that has most of the world living under the criminal system of das kosher boot. Or, rather, unter dem koscheren Stiefel.

The majority of Americans still cannot fathom this simple concept of a total takeover from within, as psychological persuasion (propaganda), indoctrination, and the wonders of pharmacology have kept them on their kosher plantation, loving their masters. The takeover wouldn’t have been possible without first coopting Christianity with silly, beneficial Zionist created denominations that pervert Biblical history, and always depicting themselves as the world’s greatest victims deserving of incessant sympathy to keep their grift humming along.

You Never Stand Alone - Vox Popoli

 When you stand with God.

And the picture of the only juror willing to call evil what it is and hold the evildoer responsible looks pretty much like what you’d expect a man described as “arrogant” and “unwilling to listen” by a group of wicked women is going to look like. As a general rule, if all the women are for it, it’s a terrible idea and you shouldn’t listen to one single word they say, because all of them are nonsensical rhetoric intended to put emotional pressure on you.

The mob is famously stupid. And female-led mobs are downright retarded, with zero sense of self- or societal preservation. Anyhow, it’s good to see social media is taking a strong position contra the mainstream media’s push.

How did usury stop being a sin and become respectable finance? | Aeon Essays

A banker and a theologian’ sounds like the start of a bad joke. But for David Miller it’s merely a job description. After working in finance and business for 16 years, Miller turned to theology, and received his PhD from Princeton Theological Seminary in 2003. Now he’s a professor of business ethics and the director of Princeton University’s Faith and Work Initiative, where his research focuses on Christianity, Judaism and Islam. ‘How to Succeed without Selling Your Soul’ is the students’ popular nickname for his signature course.

In 2014, Citigroup called. The bank had been battered by successive scandals and a wave of public mistrust after the financial crisis, so they wanted to hire Miller as an on-call ethicist. He agreed. Rather than admonish bankers to follow the law – an approach that Miller thinks is inadequate – he talks to them about philosophy. Surprisingly, he hasn’t found bankers and business leaders to be a tough crowd. Many confess a desire to do good. ‘Often I have lunch with an executive, and they say: “You do this God stuff?”’ Miller told me. ‘And then we spend next hour talking about ethics, purpose, meaning. So I know there’s interest.’ Miller wants people in finance to talk about ‘wisdom, whatever its source’. To ignore these traditions and thinkers, as the bulk of the industry tends to do, is equivalent to ‘putting on intellectual blinders’, he says.

Today, a banker listening to a theologian seems like a curiosity, a category error. But for most of history, this kind of dialogue was the norm. Hundreds of years ago, when modern finance arose in Europe, moneylenders moderated their behaviour in response to debates among the clergy about how to apply the Bible’s teachings to an increasingly complex economy. Lending money has long been regarded as a moral matter. So just when and how did most bankers stop seeing their work in moral terms?

The Sacrificial Machine—How Private Finance Turned War into Permanent Profit

Can the machine be stopped? Only if we finally see it for what it truly is—a system that turns blood into gold, and gold into power.

Now that you know, you must answer. Will you continue to fuel this machine with your indifference and silence? Or will you refuse—and help others see what you’ve seen?

Ask yourself: Are you an investor? Do you own war bonds? Military stocks?

If you do, at least now you can see your role—and stop. And you can help others see it and stop. That sight, if it rises like wildfire, could change everything.

But if you choose to look away, don’t be surprised when the machine comes for you—because it will.

A comment from - Enlarged version: The True Story of World War II, by Paul Craig Roberts - The Unz Review

 Gerry says:

@Crush Limbraw

Thank you Crush Limbraw. Since i was a teenager the one question that has bothered me more than anything else is this very issue Christian nations going to war against Christian nations! I even went to my Pastor once after reading a glowing report in the Advance magazine of a chaplain associated with our very denomination and his work and time during the Gulf War. I became incensed reading his testimony and went to my Pastor with some serious questions about this very issue. I showed him this article and proceeded to ask him if a member of our own denomination happened to kill one of our members on the other side of the battlefield? We send our missionaries to the four corners of the earth to make disciples only to end up killing each other when we go to war over manmade political ideologies? Yikes, he didn’t like that too much and with a red face and an anger I never saw in him he just looked at me sternly and quipped I am sure something would be done to prevent that from happening, DON’T YOU THINK, Gerry?
That was the end of that conversation and as i left I stood out in the parking lot reflecting and said too myself wow, that has got to be the most ignorant reply!?

The American Civil War? i remember reading how at Westpoint there was a visible division between brothers who just days earlier were in chapel together breaking bread and now they were marching away only to face each other on the battlefield.

And get this its not just Christians at each other it also freeasons against freemasons etc etc etc? Even Jews one can surely argue if true that Jews served in Hitlers army. Whose to say they didn’t end up killing the American ones? The hypocrisy of it all is just so glaring that i think the International Bankers seeing this as well just gloated about it as well mocking the Christian Church. Frightening are the words “depart from me, you workers of iniquity, I, Jesus never knew you.”

The War Prayer by Mark Twain | Full Text

The War Prayer (1905) is Twain's searing antiwar parable, in which a mysterious stranger reveals the unspoken horror beneath a congregation's patriotic prayer for victory. Twain withheld it from publication during his lifetime, saying: "Only dead men can tell the truth in this world."

Home, Sweet Home by Winslow Homer
Home, Sweet Home by Winslow Homer
Listen to this story

It was a time of great and exalting excitement. The country was up in arms, the war was on, in every breast burned the holy fire of patriotism; the drums were beating, the bands playing, the toy pistols popping, the bunched firecrackers hissing and sputtering; on every hand and far down the receding and fading spreads of roofs and balconies a fluttering wilderness of flags flashed in the sun; daily the young volunteers marched down the wide avenue gay and fine in their new uniforms, the proud fathers and mothers and sisters and sweethearts cheering them with voices choked with happy emotion as they swung by; nightly the packed mass meetings listened, panting, to patriot oratory which stirred the deepest deeps of their hearts and which they interrupted at briefest intervals with cyclones of applause, the tears running down their cheeks the while; in the churches the pastors preached devotion to flag and country and invoked the God of Battles, beseeching His aid in our good cause in outpouring of fervid eloquence which moved every listener.

It was indeed a glad and gracious time, and the half dozen rash spirits that ventured to disapprove of the war and cast a doubt upon its righteousness straightway got such a stern and angry warning that for their personal safety's sake they quickly shrank out of sight and offended no more in that way.

Sunday morning came-next day the battalions would leave for the front; the church was filled; the volunteers were there, their faces alight with material dreams-visions of a stern advance, the gathering momentum, the rushing charge, the flashing sabers, the flight of the foe, the tumult, the enveloping smoke, the fierce pursuit, the surrender!-then home from the war, bronzed heros, welcomed, adored, submerged in golden seas of glory! With the volunteers sat their dear ones, proud, happy, and envied by the neighbors and friends who had no sons and brothers to send forth to the field of honor, there to win for the flag or, failing, die the noblest of noble deaths. The service proceeded; a war chapter from the Old Testament was read; the first prayer was said; it was followed by an organ burst that shook the building, and with one impulse the house rose, with glowing eyes and beating hearts, and poured out that tremendous invocation -- "God the all-terrible! Thou who ordainest, Thunder thy clarion and lightning thy sword!"

Then came the "long" prayer. None could remember the like of it for passionate pleading and moving and beautiful language. The burden of its supplication was that an ever--merciful and benignant Father of us all would watch over our noble young soldiers and aid, comfort, and encourage them in their patriotic work; bless them, shield them in His mighty hand, make them strong and confident, invincible in the bloody onset; help them to crush the foe, grant to them and to their flag and country imperishable honor and glory -

An aged stranger entered and moved with slow and noiseless step up the main aisle, his eyes fixed upon the minister, his long body clothed in a robe that reached to his feet, his head bare, his white hair descending in a frothy cataract to his shoulders, his seamy face unnaturally pale, pale even to ghastliness. With all eyes following him and wondering, he made his silent way; without pausing, he ascended to the preacher's side and stood there, waiting. With shut lids the preacher, unconscious of his presence, continued his moving prayer, and at last finished it with the words, uttered in fervent appeal,"Bless our arms, grant us the victory, O Lord our God, Father and Protector of our land and flag!"

The stranger touched his arm, motioned him to step aside -- which the startled minister did -- and took his place. During some moments he surveyed the spellbound audience with solemn eyes in which burned an uncanny light; then in a deep voice he said

"I come from the Throne-bearing a message from Almighty God!" The words smote the house with a shock; if the stranger perceived it he gave no attention. "He has heard the prayer of His servant your shepherd and grant it if such shall be your desire after I, His messenger, shall have explained to you its import-that is to say, its full import. For it is like unto many of the prayers of men, in that it asks for more than he who utters it is aware of-except he pause and think. "God's servant and yours has prayed his prayer. Has he paused and taken thought? Is it one prayer? No, it is two- one uttered, the other not. Both have reached the ear of His Who hearth all supplications, the spoken and the unspoken. Ponder this-keep it in mind. If you beseech a blessing upon yourself, beware! lest without intent you invoke a curse upon a neighbor at the same time. If you pray for the blessing of rain upon your crop which needs it, by that act you are possibly praying for a curse upon some neighbor's crop which may not need rain and can be injured by it. "You have heard your servant's prayer-the uttered part of it. I am commissioned by God to put into words the other part of it-that part which the pastor, and also you in your hearts, fervently prayed silently. And ignorantly and unthinkingly? God grant that it was so! You heard these words: 'Grant us the victory, O Lord our God!' That is sufficient. The whole of the uttered prayer is compact into those pregnant words. Elaborations were not necessary. When you have prayed for victory you have prayed for many unmentioned results which follow victory-must follow it, cannot help but follow it. Upon the listening spirit of God the Father fell also the unspoken part of the prayer. He commandeth me to put it into words. Listen!

"O Lord our Father, our young patriots, idols of our hearts, go forth to battle-be Thou near them! With them, in spirit, we also go forth from the sweet peace of our beloved firesides to smite the foe. O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with their little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it-for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

(After a pause)

"Ye have prayed it; if ye still desire it, speak! The messenger of the Most High waits."

It was believed afterward that the man was a lunatic, because there was no sense in what he said.

Do Something with Your Talents - by bionic mosquito

The parable of the talents. The master gave five to one servant, and from this he made a gain of five; he gave two to a second servant, and from this he made a gain of two. The third servant was given one talent to steward, and he brought back the same one talent. This displeased the master: he took the one talent and gave it to the one who now had ten.

Matthew 25: 29 ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. 30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

On the surface, the parable is about money and investing, but this conclusion to the parable doesn’t sound right. Everywhere else in Scripture, we read that the ones with money are to give to the poor. Is Jesus telling us otherwise here? Further, is Jesus saying that poor investors will be punished in the outer darkness? This seems unlikely – or, at least, unlikely given what we understand elsewhere of the reasons for such punishment.

It seems clear He is not teaching such things, as He continues – immediately after concluding the parable:

https://achristianhall.substack.com/p/do-something-with-your-talents?utm_source=post-email-title&publication_id=2189155&post_id=213313319&utm_campaign=email-post-title&isFreemail=true&r=y7h5a&triedRedirect=true&utm_medium=email

Jesus is explaining how His disciples – and how we – are to understand this parable. “Talent” was a measure of money; it also can just mean “talent,” as in the gifts we have received from the Holy Spirit. The parable teaches us to use whatever gifts (talents) we have received to increase the wealth of the master. In other words, we are to use our talents in the service of God’s Kingdom.

If we use our talents to serve God’s Kingdom, He will reward us by increasing our talents (think “spiritual gifts,” not “prosperity gospel”) such that we can be of even more use. As Jesus said, “For to everyone who has, more will be given…”

How does this proverb relate to the theme of fate in LOTR by Tolkien? - Ask Brave

So the proverb is the in-world expression of Tolkien's theological claim: no act of evil is so great that it cannot be turned to serve a greater good — not because fate forces it, but because evil is structurally incapable of sustaining itself against the order of creation.

The Church in the West - by bionic mosquito

The history of Western Europe in the eighth century is overshadowed by the rise of the Carolingians; at the end of the eight century the only part of Christian Western Europe that was not part of the Carolingian Empire was the British Isles.

Greek East and Latin West; The Church AD 681-1071, Andrew Louth

The story of the Church in the West at this time cannot be told without some background regarding the story of the West more broadly (and this really brings me back to my studies on medieval Western Europe at my other blog).

Much of this expansion took place during the reign of Charles the Great, Charlemagne, reigning from 768 until his death in 814. His legacy can still be seen in the tensions of Europe today.

Charlemagne’s tribe, the Franks, embraced Christianity in its Catholic – that is, not Arian – form, unlike many of the barbarian tribes in the West. Yet, like many of these barbarian tribes, the Franks inherited something of Roman civil and governance structures.

The Merovingians ruled prior to this, but by the end of the sixth century their rule was increasingly theoretical. The power behind the throne was in the person known as the “mayor of the palace.” Charles Martel (“the Hammer”) was this mayor from 714 until his death in 741. During this time, he consolidated the Frankish realms under his rule. He is also well-known for turning back the Muslims in 732 or 733 at Poitiers, in modern day France.........

https://achristianhall.substack.com/p/the-church-in-the-west?utm_source=post-email-title&publication_id=2189155&post_id=209863973&utm_campaign=email-post-title&isFreemail=true&r=y7h5a&triedRedirect=true&utm_medium=email

....Conclusion

Iconoclasm in the West. In the East, this was introduced by emperor Leo III in 726, but his decree was never accepted in Rome. It wasn’t the first time that Rome refused the emperor: Rome refused to pay taxes a few years earlier to fund the wars against the Muslims.

The issue of iconoclasm was not as meaningful in the West as it was in the East during the eighth century. After emperor Leo’s initial decree in 726 and the pope’s response, there is little written evidence of any such struggles until the time of pope Hadrian at the end of the century. The West understood icons in a different way than did the East.

The West, it might seem, did not invest religious images with anything like the theological significance found in them in the East…

The classic defense of icons in the West comes from St. Gregory the Great: pictures are placed in churches for the benefit of the illiterate, so they can learn by picture that which they cannot read in a book. In the East, this was seen as only a small reason for the defense of icons.

Yet the Carolingian court did not see eye-to-eye with the pope on the matter, seeing icons as idolatrous. The issue being that the distinction of “worship” and “veneration” in Greek had no corresponding difference when translated to Latin.

This put Pope Hadrian in a difficult spot. He would find a reason to reject Nicaea II on a basis other than the issue of icons, such that he could present his rejection to Charlemagne in order to demonstrate that he was not reverting in some way to Byzantine authority.

The Hellenistic Origin of the Torah, by Laurent GuyΓ©not - The Unz Review

 anon[405] • Disclaimer says:

Laurent GuyΓ©not: Always hiding behind what men say to justify his rebellion against God.

Failure to acknowldge the difference between his Spirit and his flesh, and that Spirit should rule the flesh, and not the other way around. Dead in Spirit is no way to go through Life, son.

Moses prophesied the coming of Jesus Christ about 1400 years before Christ was born. (Yes, I know, Christ-haters will claim He never existed.) Here’s the thing: you cannot prove this wrong, no matter how much obfuscation and “pointing to what men say” you do.

Just like you cannot prove wrong any of the righteousness of God’s Commandments which are quite obviously meant to enable Life, not disable it, both the Two Most Important Commandments (to love God and one another) and the Ten Commandments. Not one Commandment is unrighteous, but since humans love to sin, they hate the Commandments. You cannot prove this wrong either.

Also, for centuries and also today, Jews have done what the early Catholics also did (and still do), because they hate what the Bible actually says: they made their own “explainer” to deceive the masses to follow them instead of God. Cases in point, the Talmud (which the Jews also lie and call the Torah), and the Catholic’s “catechism” manual which contains many sly deceptions.

Tell me, who were the two major Beast powers of this earth… who did so many governments answer to? For over 1000 years they feared the Catholic church who could turn their ignorant masses against them. And now, the oligarchs, at least half or more Jewish, who also have power to do the same thing.

If you actually read the Word of God by your own Spirit which God put in you, you would see the righteousness it contains.

But since you don’t, but only read it with your “flesh” in order to criticize it and justify your “self”, you willfully remain in blindness, always pretending to know more than God’s Word without actually knowing anything other than what other God-haters speak and write which supports your willful ignorance of righteousness.

One last thing: the smartest human scientists know that energy and matter cannot be created, but can only be converted one to another. Yet the universe, and all the matter and energy it contains, somehow exists. How can that be? We all know. God is seen by what He made (or did you make yourself in the womb?).

So let it be said to those who think they are smarter than God: If you really are smarter than God, let us know when you can create even the most infinitesimal unit of matter or energy out of NOTHING at all. We’ll wait. You get an entire miraculous lifetime, after all. If you never come back and prove your success in this, and yet have not repented of your failure to acknowledge the Creator, the result of your life will be the failure that comes by the refusal to live by both the Love and Truth God’s Word contains, meant only for your own good.
