Translation: the neocons are trying to
launch a war with Russia in revenge for Putin bringing the oligarchs to heel
and threatening the increasing instability of the US Imperium. They won a Pyrrhic
victory in Ukraine, they're losing badly in Syria, and now they're desperate to
reverse a trend that has the potential to build into an avalanche.
Fortunately, as the article reveals, more sober and experienced CIA hands are dubious about the idea. Personally, I doubt the Obama administration will do anything at all before January, because Obama doesn't want to do anything but play out the string before hitting the links and the lucrative speech circuit.
